The California Hawking Club ("CHC") is committed to ensuring your privacy as a visitor to its web site. You can be confident that the CHC does not sell or exchange names, or any other information about our online transactions, with third parties. As a visitor, our website automatically recognizes your Internet service provider, but you cannot be identified as an individual.

SECURE TRANSACTIONS
Orders placed on our site are encrypted using SSL technology, so rest assured that your transactions are protected. With SSL implemented on both the client and server, information sent via the Internet can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered to the CHC's server only. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. For more information about SSL, see Netscape's website. Please note that email is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers.

USAGE RESTRICTIONS
The entire contents of this site are copyrighted under United States law and protected by worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions. Materials from the www.calhawkingclub.org World Wide Web site may not be copied, distributed or transmitted in any way without prior written consent of the CHC. All material on this site is provided for lawful purposes only. The CHC reserves complete title and full intellectual property rights for materials downloaded from the site.

SUBMISSIONS TO WWW.CALHAWKINGCLUB.ORG
Any information, including but not limited to remarks, suggestions, ideas, graphics or other submissions, communicated to the CHC through this site is the exclusive property of the CHC. The CHC is entitled to use any information submitted for any purpose without restriction or compensation to the person sending the submission. The user acknowledges the originality of any submission communicated to the CHC and accepts responsibility for its accuracy, appropriateness and legality.

LIABILITY RESTRICTIONS
The CHC is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions. Under no circumstances will the CHC be liable for any damages or injury that result from the use of the materials on this site. Some jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in which case the above limitation may not apply to you. The materials on this site are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable laws. The CHC may provide links to other sites that are not maintained by the CHC. The CHC does not endorse those sites and is not responsible for the content of such other sites.

PROTECTION OF INFORMATION
The CHC adheres to the highest ethical standards in gathering, using and safeguarding information that is entrusted to the organization.

USE AND COLLECTION OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
The CHC does not rent, sell or exchange information about its members or those with which it conducts business. Access to information about those transacting business with the CHC is restricted to those CHC administrators having a need to know such information consistent with the conduct of such business.  The CHC gathers only the information that is needed to administer its business. The CHC limits access to sensitive information to those CHC administrators who need it to carry out their official CHC functions.

ACCURACY AND SECURITY OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION
The CHC makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that sensitive member and non-member information it maintains is accurate, timely and secure. The CHC will monitor and adopt, as appropriate, new technological developments that are designed to aid in ensuring the accuracy and security of such information.

ONLINE PRIVACY
The CHC's world wide web site collects personally-identifiable information (such as name, address, telephone number, or email address) from web site visitors only when visitors voluntarily provide such information to the CHC. CHC web site visitors who do not want their personally-identifiable information collected online are asked not to submit such information to the CHC. CHC web site visitors are informed that when they provide the CHC with personally-identifiable information online, that information is kept within the CHC to the extent provided by law.

If CHC web site visitors previously provided their email addresses to the CHC and would like to have their email addresses removed from the CHC's email mailing lists, the CHC asks them to send an email message to admin@calhawkingclub.org. The CHC informs such visitors that it will use reasonable efforts to delete their email addresses from its existing files.

CHILDREN
The CHC has no intention of collecting personally-identifiable information (name, address, telephone number, or email address) from children (individuals under the age of 13) online and using that information for inappropriate purposes. Where appropriate, the CHC will specifically instruct children not to submit such information on the CHC web site.

If a child has provided the CHC with an email address, the CHC asks that a parent or guardian of the child contact the CHC at admin@calhawkingclub.org if they would like the email address deleted from CHC email mailing lists. The CHC informs members and non-members that it will use reasonable efforts to delete such email addresses from its existing files.

The CHC will not store information on a web site visitor's computer in the form of a "cookie" or similar file. Most Web browsers allow Web users to exercise control over such files on their computers by erasing them, blocking them, or notifying the user when such a file is stored.

ENFORCEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions are governed and interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of California, United States of America, notwithstanding any principles of conflicts of law. If any part of these terms and conditions is unlawful, void or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of remaining provisions. The CHC can revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this posting. The CHC may terminate this agreement at any time without notice for any reason. Users may terminate this agreement by destroying all materials obtained from the CHC web site.
