  • How to use telemetry, such as a fox hunt (find the transmitter), to hone your tracking skills
  • California falconry regulations
  • California Department of Fish & Wildlife forms
  • California Department of Fish & Wildlife website and electronic database
  • Falconry veterinary issues
  • Leather working
  • Trapping, medical kits
  • Raptor toolbox - what to take with you when you go hawking
  • Mew and weathering types
  • Beak coping and more


This falconry workshop is recommended for all individuals interested in learning a bit more about falconry and raptor care and is recommended for all apprentices and would-be apprentices.Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:00 for all participants and is included in the price of the event.

There will be an area for viewing hawks and falcons

The $40 fee includes lunch

A raffle will be held with falconry and California Hawking Club items.
